Bank of America’s online banking service was down for some time today. It may still be down for some people. At first, it was believed to only have been down for people in Maryland, California, Michigan and a few other states, however, that’s doesn’t appear to be the case. It seems it was/is down for people in all states.

It appears that the website is coming back online for most people. If it is still down for you, it should be up in a little while.

The problem was most likely something to do with delayed DNS caching.

On Twitter, someone who is believed to be from Bank of America released the following statement, “We are diligently working to fix the issue and our teams are fully engaged to have the website up and running as soon as possible.” It’s more than likely that that was a Bank of America employee.

That means, that if your account isn’t working right now, you’ll just have to wait a little while and it should be back up soon.

The website has been down for over 3 hours for some banking clients. However, most of them are now able to access the site.

I usually do not write a comment, however after reading a few of the remarks on this page Bank of America Online Service Suffers Downtime | Damego. I do have 2 questions for you if it’s allright. Could it be simply me or does it look like like some of the responses appear like they are coming from brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are posting at additional social sites, I would like to follow everything new you have to post. Could you make a list of the complete urls of all your social networking pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

Everything published was actually very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you were to create a killer title? I ain’t suggesting your content is not solid., but what if you added a title to maybe get folk’s attention? I mean Bank of America Online Service Suffers Downtime | Damego is kinda boring. You should peek at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create post titles to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a related picture or two to get people interested about what you’ve got to say. In my opinion, it would make your website a little livelier.
