Christina Milian and Terius “The Dream” Nash Call it Quits
 Christina Milian in 'Be Cool' (2005); Photo Credit: Hot Rod Homepage In another example of celebrity romance that is just not meant to be, Christina Milian and award winning producer, The Dream, are ending their marriage just 5 months after taking their wedding vows, as reported by USA Today. In true tabloid style, there is more to the story than meets the eye; a public announcement of the break up only occurred after pictures of Terius Nash, or “The Dream” as he is known in the entertainment business, and his assistant, Melissa Santiago, were released showing the two of them playing around on a beach, apparently spending a vacation together. The photos were published before the announcement of the couple’s separation. After the photos hit the web, Milian tweeted “whatever you think… believe it”, leaving fans to speculate about the status of the apparent newlyweds. Representatives for both Christina Milian and Terius Nash are saying that the marriage had already failed but they were trying to stick together for the sake of their daughter, Violet. Milian had Violet earlier this year after releasing reports that she was pregnant in September of 2009. Milian and Nash had original eloped in Vegas in September of ’09 and made plans to renew their vows in Rome in front of family and friends before news that Milian was pregnant surfaced. The vow renewal in Rome occurred in December; just two months later. In February, Milian gave birth to her first child and Nash’s 4th. This is Nash’s second failed marriage. His divorce from first wife, singer Nivea B. Hamilton, came after their marriage in 2004 and the birth of his daughter in 2005 and twin sons in 2006. Nivea filed for divorce in December of 2007. There is no news on who will take custody of Violet, or if the two will participate in a joint custody agreement, sharing time with their daughter. |
