Joran van der Sloot Wanted For Murder: But Not For Natalee Holloway

I used to watch a brilliant show on HBO called The Wire, which was mainly about Baltimore drug dealers. The Wire was a realistic depiction of the wanton bloodletting that was part and parcel of the drug wars on the Baltimore streets. At the end of the Wire, the bad guy got away with it – I mean he had the money, he had beaten the cops, he had bested his rivals, and he had physically gotten away.

The irony is that same bad guy came back to the heart of the mayhem, and although it is hard for many of us to fathom, for him, those Baltimore mean streets were what made his life meaningful. This is what must affect Joran van der Sloot, who was suspected five years ago of killing the American Tourist, Natalee Holloway and is now suspected of stabbing and killing a Peruvian woman.

It was reported that Joran met the latest alleged victim around the area of a Peruvian casino and the victim’s father said that Joran was the one last seen with his daughter. Like the character in The Wire who loved the Baltimore streets, casinos seem to be Joran’s Baltimore streets. It was in the vicinity of a casino/hotel where Mr. van der Sloot supposedly met the late Natalee Holloway and allegedly lured her to her death.

One would think that Mr. van der Sloot would have kept a low profile and stayed away from the place that almost cost him his freedom, but from subsequent interviews and sightings, Mr. van der Sloot still frequented these casinos and bars. I do not know what, if anything took place between Mr. van der Sloot and the murdered Peruvian girl… but he should have avoided the appearance of impropriety in light of the negative publicity he garnered during his last interaction with the law. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Joran is found guilty?  It would be almost akin to OJ Simpson doing time for basically stealing from himself?

I do agree with all of the ideas you’ve presented in your post. They are very convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are very short for beginners. Could you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Opera. Outstanding Blog!
